Every year, Shrewsbury celebrates its Fall Festival in September. Since 2004, the Garden Club has sponsored a scarecrow making display on the Town Common. To this day it is one of the highlights of the festival. Residents and businesses are encouraged to construct a scarecrow to be displayed on the Town Common. All entries receive special recognition.
