Junior Membership
The Purpose of the Shrewsbury Garden Club Jr. Membership shall be to develop and promote an appreciation and awareness of the beauty of plants, trees and flowers and to encourage concern for our environment and contribute to civic beautification.
Membership is open to any child or relative of current Garden Club members as well as Shrewsbury residents, ages 4-18. (Click on the photos at the right to enlarge them and begin an interactive slide show.)
Membership Divisions:
SEEDLINGS – pre-school/kindergarten
SPROUTS – grades 1-4
SAPLINGS- grades 5-8
SEQUOIAS- grades 9-12
*Members will receive a certificate and identification badge to be worn at attended events
*Jr. Members will receive advance notice of workshops and Garden Club sponsored events and be expected to participate in at least one workshop a year, help on one age appropriate clean up event or Garden Club event. (Light the Spirit, Scarecrow Show, Plant Sale etc.)
*Jr. Members with badge will receive one free perennial plant at the annual Plant Sale.
*Garden Club will sign for Community Service Hours.
Annual dues is $5.00 per member with a maximum $10.00 /family
