Each year the Shrewsbury Garden Club offers a scholarship(s) to further the education of Shrewsbury residents in the fields of horticulture, landscaping, environmental studies or related fields.
We had our scholarship tea on November 10th 2022. Check out the pictures of that very successful event here

2022 Scholarship Recipient
The Shrewsbury Garden Club is happy to announce this year’s Scholarship recipient.
A $1000 scholarship was awarded to Shrewsbury High School graduating Senior Hailey Luke.
An honor student, Hailey has been accepted to many great schools includingUVM, Penn State, Michigan and Perdue. Concerned about rising globaltemperatures, rising sea levels, melting ice caps and much more, she will be majoring inenvironmental engineering, and she plans on taking classes in climatology, sustainability,design/construction, and urban planning.Hailey has also volunteered in many organizations in and out of school. She was involved in theHelping Hands Club, ELNA, Food and Health Club, Special Peer Connections Club, National HonorSociety, National English Honor Society and National Math Society. She has volunteered at thePresbyterian Thrift Shop, Andy’s Attic, and Special Olympics. She has also played Girls VarsityTennis Team and has been captain the past two seasons.Hailey states in her essay that she’d “like to spend her time on Earth doing somethingworthwhile”. She feels that she can accomplish that goal with the classes she’s going to take sothat she can help preserve the earth for future generations. The Garden Club is proud to help herreach her goal.
